In 1955, since childhood he became swyamsewak of RSS & Mishra became RSS purnkalik pracharak in 1963. Mishra, renowned Sangh pracharak, was the first elected National President of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He was three term members of Rajya Sabha 1978, 2001 and 2006. He joined politics and held many party positions at state and national level. He was a Cabinet Minister in Government of Uttar Pradesh holding the portfolios of Public Works, Medical Education and Tourism during March 1997 – August 2000 period. He started a campaign where in all state highways would be made crater free. He played an important role in the formation of Uttarakhand. By his efforts and organizational capability, he was able to make a good & competent organization. First time ever Mishra contested Vidhan Sabha election in 2012 as a BJP candidate from Lucknow East assembly constituency and won the seat for BJP. He initiated many developmental projects. In 2014 Mishra became MP from Deoria constituency & later appointed as Cabinet Minister in the Modi government. He was the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises from 26 May 2014 to 2 September 2017. On 15 July 2019 he was appointed as Governor of Himachal Pradesh replacing Acharya Devvrat who was transferred to Gujarat as Governor. In July 2019, he was appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh replacing Acharya Devvrat. In September 2019, he was appointed as the Governor of Rajasthan and is presently a governor designate.

Prof. Padmanaban was brought up in a family of engineers. After completing his schooling in Bangalore, he joined an Engineering College. However, he found engineering uninteresting, and he joined the Presidency College in Madras to complete a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He completed his masters in Soil Chemistry at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi and Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in 1966. In the early years of his research, he primarily worked in the transcriptional regulation of Eukaryotic genes in the liver. He was interested in elucidating the multifaceted role of heme in cellular processes. His group discovered the heme-biosynthetic pathway in the malarial parasite and showed it to be a drug target. He has also been interested in the area of vaccine development. His team was successful in showing the antimalarial property of Curcumin and its efficacy in combination therapy in 2004. He is awarded with number of awards like-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology (1983), Padma Shri (1991), Padma Bhushan (2003), Elected Fellowship of the National Academy of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Anshuman Sewda is a genetic epidemiologist with more than 10 years of academic and research experience in the United States. He earned both MPH and PhD degrees in Epidemiology from the University of Texas (UTHealth) School of Public Health, Houston, TX, USA, and was the recipient of Rufus K. Guthrie Scholarship and President James T. & Nancy B. Willerson Scholarship. He gave an invited talk on his doctoral dissertation at the National Institutes of Health (11th Structural Birth Defects Meeting, NIH/NICHD, Bethesda, MD, USA). An inductee of the prestigious Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health (Alpha Iota Chapter; founded in 1924), Dr. Sewda has worked at several prestigious institutions, such as the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (frequently ranked #1 cancer hospital in the US), Human Genetics Center (UTHealth), and McGovern Medical School (UTHealth). Later, he completed a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship from the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences. He worked on two of the world’s largest genomics research projects: 1) Craniosynostosis Network Consortium in collaboration with several US-based and international institutions, including University of Oxford (UK), University of Heidelberg (Germany), University of Bordeaux (France), and Hospital Sant Joan De Déu (Spain); and 2) Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Network of Integrated Clinical Systems (CNICS) genetics project in collaboration with University of Washington and other US-based institutions.

Before this, she was faculty in marketing and entrepreneurship at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur. She has over 16+ years of experience in academia, consulting, start-up training, digital marketing, and student mentorship. She has earned her Ph.D. in green marketing. She holds a multi-disciplinary master's degree in MBA (marketing), M.Com, and MSc applied psychology.
